HOW TO JOIN

Register on RapidLance as either a buyer (to buy professional services) or service provider (to sell your professional services). If you want to do both, register as a service provider.

Registration for buyers is free. For service providers, RapidLance offers two active levels -- Basic and Select -- each available for a monthly, quarterly or yearly subscription. RapidLance also offers a free Limited user level. To register as a buyer, click on "Post your Project" link, or to register as a service provider, click "Subscribe to bid" link on the top of any page.

After registration, you have access to My RapidLance, your personal control panel for building your profile, tracking projects, customizing your preferences and using the Billing and Payment system.

Any registered RapidLance user can post a project for bidding FREE of charge. Just click the Buy Services tab and then the Post Your Project button. Only service providers who have paid the subscription fee can bid on projects. Unlike a traditional auction, it is the buyer who posts their listing as a project in the RapidLance Online Marketplace.  The buyer selects the best bid based on the service provider's bid, RapidLance Profile, Portfolio and Feedback.

Here is what you need to do when you register:
  • Choose a username and password. Your unique username identifies you on the RapidLance site. Whenever you post a project or bid on a project, your username is displayed as a link to your RapidLance profile. Pick your username carefully — it’s what other RapidLance users will use to identify you. If you want users to know your real name, or company name, you can include that in your RapidLance profile.

  • Build your RapidLance profile and portfolio, providing samples of your work if appropriate.

  • Provide your email address. Your email address will be released to the buyer or service provider only when a transaction for a service begins.
You can change your registration information, such as your default email address, from the My RapidLance "Preferences" page.
