ABOUT MULTICURRENCY

Multicurrency allows you to change the currency displayed on RapidLance from U.S. dollars to a currency you choose. If you select this option, projects, bids and records will display in your chosen currency. You can set your currency preference from the My RapidLance Menu page.

RapidLance Billing and Payment System permits transactions in any currency. The methods for funding your account or sending payment may be subject to restrictions. Generally, funds sent from outside the U.S. to RapidLance should be sent via wire transfer. International checks may take up to 8 weeks to clear. RapidLance will continue to expand this program in the future.

How it works Back to Index

How does multicurrency work if I am the buyer?
The official price of anything you buy is always in the currency you select. When you post a project, service providers must bid for the project in that currency. When you select a winning bid, the official price is displayed in your currency.

If I am a service provider, which currency should I use for my service profiles?
Service profiles list aproximate rates in the service service provider's preferred currency. However, the buyer will see the price per unit at current exchange rates in their own currency. If a buyer purchases your services, payment will be made in their chosen currency. If you do not wish to do business in that currency, you can decline the project.
